DAY 13 - EVERY Site in Turkey in Two Hours

April Fool's Day...to Mini City in Antalya

Today we leave Alla's wonderful "couch" which was really a bedroom and bath to ourselves.  She decorates her cute apartment so well, we just had to show some pictures.  We want to thank her for being such a wonderful host!

Alla's Front Room
She has put wall decor throughout the whole house - AMAZING!

Again, she amazed us with a wonderful breakfast.  One of her friends joined us and we ate out on her terrace.
Fresh squeezed O.J., Rechnevya, Kasha, and Kabak - YUM!!

Turkey has been such an amazing place to visit - the people are friendly and kind and we have had such wonderful hospitality with all of our hosts.  Most have wanted to cook for us and we've had some wonderful meals. They have a tradition to take off your shoes when you enter and they offer you some slippers or special shoes to put on while you are in their house.  Here is an example of some shoes I wore.

Shoes our hosts in Izmir offered me to wear inside their house

She took us to the Mini City, which was a great way to visit all of Turkey in just two hours.  Some of these sites we've visited and others we'll just have to dream about seeing one day.  Enjoy the great pictures Rich took.  We only have a sampling of what we saw.  It was truly spectacular!  I've only labeled a few as it would take some time to put together all of them and get them correct.

House of the Virgin Mary near Ephesus - she supposedly was brought here to live her life after Christ died.

Who is that in the background?

Shari looks like a Giant!

This was an amazing ancient city of Myra built into the rocks - in Demre

Oh the detail!
