Newport Beach Combin'

Sunshine, Sand, and Seashells

DAY 7

It's a lazy morning as we get ready to go to the beach.  Everyone is piling into my bed and getting snuggles!

Looks like tiredness, too.

What a week we have had - pretty exhausting, but so very fun!!!!
Here we go to the beach!
Isn't Eliza's bathing suit and cover-up just darling??  They are from Baja.

The kids have never been before, and they are ecstatic!

Sam is the most excited, I think, as he starts building a big sand castle, which quickly gets washed away by the big waves.
3 Generations of bathing beauties!

Can you see the sand flying in a heart shape?

Last family photo in California as we sit down to eat a fancy fish dinner on the beach.

DAY 8

We're headed back early to Utah to see Eliza's dance recital.
Her 1st BIG recital on stage and everything

Off to church we go the next morning

Guess where the kid's pinatas came from?  They are for their birthdays.  Minnie is bigger than Eliza!  She will celebrate #5 in just a couple of weeks from now.
After church, we all head to Sam's parent's home for dinner
                 - only about 30 minutes away.

Didn't I capture a couple of crazy personality shots here?  Sure love this family!

What an exhausting week it has been!  Time for a siesta!!

Time for Grandma to leave for Idaho - only a 4 hour drive, but it's been snowing most of the day!
Emmet is a big help as he brushes off the snow.  Dory doesn't know what to think, but she is sure happy to go to her home in the snow.  Not sure I am!

Thanks for all the California memories!  Let's do it again!!!!
